Adult membership

Membership of the Limerick Kayak Club adult section is open to adults and juniors aged 14-17 years who are accompanied by an adult family member. If you have paddled before and hold the the Canoeing Ireland Level 2 Kayak Skills award or higher just fill out a membership form to get started. If you don’t have any previous experience then get in touch and ask about our introductory sessions.

Senior Applicants 18 years or more   €55
Family Parents/ Guardians (2 Adults)  €90   
Under eighteens must join the junior section  €25   

To join you must follow these two steps:

  1. You join Limerick Kayak Club through Canoeing Ireland. Important you need your Canoe Ireland membership number which will be generated during step 1 to complete step 2 LKC application form.
  2. Complete LKC application form. LKC will be automatically notified when you join.

Already member of another club

If you are already a member of another club you can join LKC for €25. Your must have a current CI membership and you will need your CI membership number to complete the LKC application form.

If you don’t have any previous experience then get in touch and ask about our introductory sessions.

The club runs a number of introductory sessions each summer. Kayaking courses are also available at Kilfinane Outdoor Education Centre and University of Limerick Activity Centre.

The club has a limited stock of equipment to help beginners get started but new adult members are expected to get their own paddling equipment as soon as possible(click here for details on paddling equipment)

All memberships expire on 31st December each year in line with Canoeing Ireland membership regardless of when you join.  Limerick Kayak Club is affiliated to Canoeing Ireland & Canoeing Ireland membership is included with club membership.
